5. Missionary of the Month

Our Missionaries of the Month for June are the Lund family, who serve in a Restricted Access Nation.  Dale, Jeyne, Micah, Kharis, and Matthias are grateful for all the prayers and encouragement they have received and would like prayer for the following:

  1. The Lighthouse Centre.  The Lighthouse Centre is changing local business partners.  Pray for the Father's wisdom and direction so that the work of nurturing healthy families will continue.
  2. Local Musicians.  Dale has been meeting with local musicians to help them write and perform their own songs.  These artists have been able to share their songs within the church as well as at local cafes and universities.  Pray for more of these opportunities; as well as opportunities to record; and opportunities to grow in their faith and knowledge of the Word so that they can continue to honour God with the gifts He has given them.
  3. Dale has also started another "dating" course for men which is designed to help men understand the role and purpose God has for them, and to help prepare them for a godly relationship with women.
  4. Dale and Jeyne are offer pre-marital classes to engaged couples in the church and have begun to train two other couples to teach the course as well.  Pray that the church would realize the importance of strong Biblically based marriages and that its couples would enter marriage well-equipped and prepared to be shining examples of a Christ-centered marriage.  Pray also that the marriages of the missionaries sent to this nation will remain strong, healthy and Christ-centered.
  5. For the children.  The children study at a small international school.  Pray that they would continue to grow their faith, and seek to honour the Lord in every aspect of their lives.  Pray also for the Lord's direction for Micah as he decides what to do when he graduates from high school next year.
