Point Grey Community Church and UTown Church release new album “And Grace Will Lead Me Home” to the public on November 24th, 2006.
Vancouver, BC— Bright green apples displayed in an artistic wooden bowl grace the cover of the new collaborative album from Point Grey Community Church and UTown Church entitled And Grace Will Lead Me Home. Like a shot out of a glossy interior design magazine, the front cover conjures up images of the tranquility of home which speak to the theme of the new album.
The year and a half project is the 2nd album Executive Produced by Tracy Moar, Worship Pastor at UTown.
Featuring eleven original songs and one soulful and rocking reworking of “Amazing Grace,” the album spotlights the efforts of ten songwriters whose diverse styles are fused together to make a remarkable spiritual compilation. Whether it’s pop, jazz, country or soul, the entire song list all works together thematically. Says Moar “These songs are of no certain genre or style, but all speak from a place of knowing God and being known by God.”
The launch of Home is slated for November 24, 2006 at Point Grey Community Church in Vancouver (7th and Collingwood). Audiences can expect to hear the entire album featuring jazz performer Melissa Hill’s “Brand New,” singer songwriter Shawna Beesley with her soulful “Still More” and Moar’s appropriately titled “I Fell into Grace.” Says Moar “I’m very excited that this project is finally at this point as it’s been a long journey but a good one. It’s going to be a night of great music as there are phenomenally talented musicians who will be performing.”
