There are times where we don’t understand what God is doing because it isn’t in our best interest to know.There are, on the other hand, times of profound revelation.The period of time between when Jesus was resurrected and the time of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit was poured out on the young church, was very important for the revelation of the disciples of Jesus.It was only after the resurrection that Jesus began to pull back some of the limits of their understanding so that they could see more clearly the game plan of God.
But understanding is not everything – obedience is.Just as Jesus called his disciples to go and make disciples, this same call to service needs to be refreshed in our ears and hearts.Our next series (Easter to Pentecost) is designed to motivate us toward fresh expectancy that God is very much inclined to reveal His love to and through us to a world waiting to hear some good news.
