Stressed? Overwhelmed? Lost? Broke? Check out our new Sermon mini-series: "There Must Be a Better Way!" These three studies from the Book of James will help strengthen your faith, sharpen your thinking and call you to fresh engagement in your Christian journey.
James was the leader of the church in Jerusalem and, importantly, the brother of Jesus. We see him in Acts 15. He speaks with authority and urgency into his times and, astonishingly, into our times. The book is sort of a cross between Proverbs and the Sermon on the Mount...he muses about life and its meaning, he nails the readers with pointed imperatives, he calls everyone, regardless of social standing, to a clarified and heightened sense of faith, community life and obedience to the word of God.
